September 17, 2009

Recently, I have received inquiring emails from some very nice people asking for updates on our family’s situation. As I have mentioned before, this haunting is not a seasonal problem, nor can it be escaped by moving. We never make a habit of looking for occurrences but as they make themselves known we learn to just deal with them to the best of our ability. I have a vague memory of what “normal” life was before 2003 but it is forever gone.  For those of you wondering – we do not make this haunting the topic of nightly conversation and have managed to try and keep things as normal as possible since we returned back to the house after the demonic attacks two years ago. We realize more and more that Halloween just isn’t what it used to be to us and are trying to educate others about demonic forces, Hollywood fiction vs. the actual truth and what all of this means.  I find that as time goes on this haunting becomes another way of life and you try to keep on moving ahead. For a few specific events noted on my personal calendar:  In February 2009, my husband prayed in my daughter’s room at 4:00 AM because we had detected a presence. Our dog had been pacing and acting very strangely in that area of the house. The next two consecutive days my older daughter heard little voices giggling in her room and her hairbrush was pushed off the nightstand while she was getting ready for school. My son had on several occasions, mentioned in early July 2009 that something had been pulling on the back of his shirt as he descended our staircase from the upstairs and walked throughout our house. I, myself, have seen shadows and images cross the doorway to an upstairs bedroom and just did my best to ignore it. You just have to shake it off and keep focused.  We have been contacted by several individuals looking for help and we are more than happy to share our story. Many times, once they hear our version of what happened to us, it is too strong for them. Our hope is that they will take what information that they can and apply it in some way even if we never know if we helped at all. It is important to us not to “water down” the truth. People need to hear it just as it is.
